We are looking for a friendly, dependable, and customer-oriented Front of House Cashier / Barista to join our team. This position plays an important role in creating a welcoming environment and providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate is outgoing, organized, efficient, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.

As a Front of House Cashier / Barista, you will be responsible for greeting customers, taking orders, processing payments, preparing coffee and other beverages, serving food, and ensuring the front-of-house area remains clean, organized, and inviting.

Responsibilities and Duties

- Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, professional customer service.
- Take customer orders accurately, answer questions, and provide menu recommendations.
- Operate the POS system, handle cash, process debit and credit transactions, and provide accurate change.
- Prepare and serve coffee, espresso-based drinks, teas, and other beverages according to company standards.
- Ensure orders are prepared accurately, presented properly, and served in a timely manner.
- Package food orders, assist with food preparation, and communicate special requests or dietary requirements to the kitchen.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front counter, coffee station, dining area, and customer spaces.
- Follow proper food safety, sanitation, and hygiene procedures.
- Monitor customer needs and respond to questions, concerns, or complaints in a professional manner.
- Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including cleaning, restocking, and preparing the front-of-house area.
- Maintain a clean, welcoming, and positive atmosphere for all customers.

Experience and Qualifications

- Previous experience in customer service, cashiering, hospitality, or food service is an asset.
- Previous barista experience is an asset, but training can be provided.
- Experience operating a POS system and handling cash is beneficial.
- Food safety certification is considered an asset.
- Must be willing to learn and follow all company policies, procedures, and food safety standards.

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25.0 – 40.0 per week
