Lead safe, inclusive aqua fitness classes for the Town of East Gwillimbury using strong instruction and customer service skills. Support participant fitness and wellness throughout every class.

The Aqua Fitness Instructor plans, organizes, and teaches classes for all ages and abilities. Reporting to the Supervisor, Aquatics & Fitness, this role follows certifying agency expectations and aquatic procedures. Effective communication, presentation, adaptability, and problem-solving support a secure, engaging participant experience.

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan, organize, and instruct aqua fitness classes
- Manage formations, teaching spaces, and group control
- Maintain safe, clean, and comfortable participant environments
- Clean equipment and report required maintenance or repairs




- Enforce emergency, confidentiality, health, and safety procedures

Requirements:

- Experience delivering and instructing varied aqua fitness classes
- Valid Standard First Aid and CPR-C certification
- Canfitpro or equivalent fitness certification
- Robust customer service, communication, and presentation skills
- Flexible availability for days, evenings, weekends, and extended hours
