Operate snowplows and loaders while patrolling highways for Ledcor in a winter seasonal role focused on road safety. Local applicants are preferred.
Ledcor’s Patrollers help maintain Ontario Provincial Highways from September through May. The work combines road-condition reporting, forecast tracking, equipment operation, and communication with operators and supervisors. Accommodations and a meal allowance are available in Chapleau.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate snowplow trucks and wheel loaders
- Report highway conditions during scheduled patrols
- Track weather events and forecast information
- Identify priority locations for maintenance attention
- Help address health, safety, and environmental concerns
Requirements:
- Minimum full G license required
- Transparent three-year driver’s abstract required
- AZ or DZ license preferred
- Professional written and verbal communication abilities
- Experience with Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Word
