The practice focuses on insurance defence and marine law, representing national and international insurers in complex, high-value matters. You will manage files, prepare legal materials, and represent clients through litigation stages.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage litigation files from referral through resolution
- Prepare pleadings, motions, reports, and legal opinions
- Conduct discoveries, mediations, and judicial settlement conferences
- Work closely with partners on complex defence matters
- Build client relationships and grow an individual practice
Requirements:
- Four years of litigation experience, preferably insurance defence
- Membership in a Canadian provincial bar
- Eligibility for Nova Scotia Bar admission
- Experience managing files with increasing independence
- Solid communication, organization, judgment, and client service skills
