They are looking for a Senior Accountant (Mandarin Speaking) who will be responsible for full-cycle accounting across six to seven business entities. The role includes preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, financial statements, management reports, and month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing entries. Additional responsibilities include in depth inventory and cost accounting, audit support, annual tax returns, HST and regulatory filings, interdepartmental coordination, process improvement, detailed financial analysis, and ad hoc finance projects. The successful candidate must be able to work independently, resolve regular accounting issues, and maintain accurate and timely financial reporting. Broad, hands-on full-cycle accounting responsibilities Experience with inventory accounting, financial reporting, tax filings, audits, and process improvement Direct exposure to SAP and Microsoft Dynamics Navision Some flexibility for one day work from home Prepare and maintain month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing entries and account reconciliations for various global entities Assist with external and internal audits and annual tax returns Prepare/oversee various monthly filings, including HST, regulatory and other business compliance filings Continuously improve operational and financial accounting processes and challenge the status quo Support the finance team on various ad hoc projects Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance ~ CPA/CGA/CA designation or nearing completion ~4+ years of progressive experience in a similar role, either in industry or public practice ~ Experience working in a global, multi-entity environment is an asset ~ Solid ERP experience; Power BI,
