Job Summary:

The Solution Architecture Services role involves designing and guiding the development of software solutions with a focus on cloud-native, serverless applications using Amazon Web Services (AWS). The architect will leverage expertise in contemporary development frameworks and databases to deliver scalable, enterprise-grade software platforms.

Responsibilities:

- Architect and design software solutions using AWS cloud services and microservices architecture.
- Lead the development and deployment of applications using C#, .Net, and JavaScript frameworks such as Angular and React.
- Develop and implement NoSQL database solutions, including AWS DynamoDB.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure architectural alignment and best practices.
- Provide technical guidance and oversight throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to enhance solution effectiveness.

Required Skills:
- University degree or two-year diploma in computer science or related discipline with at least 5 years as a software architect, or a one-year certificate with at least 7 years experience.
- Minimum 3 years experience architecting software projects using C#, .Net, NoSQL (AWS DynamoDB), and VS Code.
- Minimum 3 years experience as an architect on Amazon AWS software development projects.
- Minimum 3 years experience developing with JavaScript frameworks Angular (2.0+) and/or React.

Desired Skills:




- Experience architecting cloud-native serverless applications on AWS using microservices.
- Experience with enterprise-scale, cloud-based platforms similar to new.learnalberta.ca.
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
- Strong knowledge of modern front-end frameworks Angular and React beyond development experience.

Must Haves:
- Formal education in computer science or related field as specified.
