Job Summary:

The Business Analyst role supports the delivery and operational activities for SGI's custom-built Auto Fund DRIVE Platform. This position involves gathering stakeholder requirements, facilitating Agile processes, and supporting testing and Scrum Master duties within a modern event-based microservices architecture. The role is initially contracted for four months with potential for extension, primarily working remotely and focusing on enhancing delivery effectiveness and reducing project risks.

Responsibilities:

- Gather and refine stakeholder feedback and requirements to support discovery and planning.
- Assist with delivery, testing, and operational priorities to ensure project progress and quality.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies and perform Scrum Master duties to remove impediments and promote team collaboration.
- Strengthen Business Analyst coverage across DRIVE Product Teams to manage competing priorities effectively.
- Utilize Azure DevOps for planning and tracking work within an event-based .NET microservices setting.

Required Skills:
- Minimum 3 years experience with Azure DevOps and Scrum methodologies.
- Proficiency in Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and event-based microservices architecture.
- Experience with .NET development environment including GIT and Visual Studio.
- Familiarity with Azure-based authentication platforms and Azure services for event database technologies.
- Knowledge of Application Insights for monitoring and alerting.
- Ability to assist with automated testing using Jest and automated development pipelines.

Desired Skills:




- Prior experience working on insurance-related applications or platforms.
- Experience supporting Agile delivery teams in a DevOps environment.
- Strong communication and facilitation skills to support cross-functional teams.
- Scrum Master certification or equivalent experience.
- Ability to work effectively in remote and distributed team settings.

Must Haves:
- Minimum 3 years of relevant Business Analyst experience in Agile and DevOps environments.
- Proven experience with event-based microservices applications and .NET technologies.
- Ability to work remotely during Saskatchewan business hours.
- Strong knowledge of Azure DevOps and related Microsoft development tools.
- Experience supporting Agile teams with Scrum Master duties.
