About the Opportunity
Our client, a leader in the packaging industry, is seeking a reliable and mechanically inclined Litho Printing Press Feeder to join their production team in Kitchener, Ontario. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with manufacturing or printing experience who enjoys working in a rapid-paced environment and takes pride in producing high-quality work.
The successful candidate will support press operations by ensuring materials are properly supplied to the printing press, maintaining a smooth production flow, and helping meet quality and production targets.
Key Responsibilities
Supply and load paperboard, sheets, and other printing materials into the lithographic printing press.
Assist the Press Operator with press setup, changeovers, and daily production activities.
Monitor the feeding process to ensure materials are loaded correctly and consistently.
Inspect materials and finished products for defects, ensuring quality standards are maintained.
Remove and organize completed printed sheets and assist with material handling as required.
Monitor equipment during production and report any issues, jams, or irregularities to the Press Operator.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Follow all company safety procedures, production standards, and quality requirements.
Assist with routine equipment cleaning and other production duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Previous experience in printing, packaging, or manufacturing is considered an asset.
Experience working around lithographic printing presses is an advantage.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Reliable, punctual, and motivated, with a strong work ethic.
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
Ability to lift and move materials as required by the position.
Willingness to follow safety procedures and learn new equipment and processes.
