Good Afternoon, My mom was an independent woman living on her own in Lyndell Beach. She had a massive stroke several months ago. They did not think she would make it through the first weekend but she has proven everyone very wrong She was in Chilliwack General Hospital for 4 weeks and was then moved to Laurel Place in Surrey for rehab. She thrived in rehab, learned the routine, worked on reading and writing again and her skills improved greatly. She was recently sent back to Chilliwack General where she will wait for a bed to open up in a nursing home. She is not getting any one on one attention except for physical therapy. My brother and niece live close and visit every other day.



We think having someone to go in once or twice a week and work on her reading and writing would make a huge impact on her life. She used to spend hours a day reading.
