This Data Engineer role focuses on unifying tracking, event, scouting, and performance information for the Basketball Strategy team. You will report to the Assistant General Manager and Senior Vice President of Basketball Strategy while collaborating with data scientists, coaches, scouts, and executives. The platform will help staff access consistent information for player evaluation, coaching strategy, roster moves, and performance planning.

Key Responsibilities:

- Ingest, clean, transform, and organize critical basketball data
- Optimize pipelines and storage for large datasets
- Reconcile inconsistent information across multiple data sources




- Enable querying and visualization through analysis tools
- Implement feedback with cross-department basketball stakeholders

Requirements:

- Experience building data pipelines or data models
- Understanding of databases and data warehouses
- Dashboard experience with Tableau or Power BI
- Sports tracking, event data, or qualified athletics experience
- Knowledge of WNBA basketball and data-supported strategy
