This Heavy Duty Mechanic position supports WCS recycling and waste management operations across the Greater Vancouver region. You will maintain fleet vehicles, inspect equipment, diagnose electronic systems, and repair heavy duty diesel engines, transmissions, clutches, hydraulics, and air brakes. Red Seal certification is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Repair heavy duty diesel engines, transmissions, clutches, and hydraulics
- Perform preventative maintenance on fleet vehicles
- Conduct inspections and diagnose vehicle system faults
- Review and assign repairs from driver inspection reports
- Maintain a clean, secure work area
Requirements:
- Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic or Commercial Transport Vehicle Mechanic
- Required Red Seal certification
- One to three years of heavy equipment shop experience
- Ability to multitask and work well with others
- Commitment to excellent customer service
