This Heavy Civil Survey Technician role focuses on accurate field information throughout project execution. You will establish benchmarks, maintain ground models, update documentation, and support earthworks, utilities, roads, and structures. Candidates need 3–5+ years of construction surveying experience, relevant surveying or civil engineering education, and practical equipment knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain survey control points and benchmarks
- Support layouts for earthworks, utilities, roads, and structures
- Manage survey data and maintain accurate field records
- Monitor construction against specifications and safety requirements
- Update drawings for revisions and field changes
Requirements:
- Diploma or degree in surveying, geomatics, or civil engineering
- 3–5+ years supporting civil infrastructure or heavy civil projects
- Robust GPS, Total Stations, and laser level experience
- AutoCAD and survey software experience is an asset
- Comfort working outdoors around heavy equipment
