WesTower Communications Ltd. needs a Top Hand who can direct crew members and fill in when the foreperson is away or off site. This hands-on position combines wireless construction knowledge with leadership, rigging, and jobsite coordination. Experience with tower builds, gin poles, cranes, and telecom troubleshooting is valuable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Run or oversee the top part of jobs daily
- Fill in for the foreperson when away or off site
- Confirm project materials reach the job site
- Check vehicle fluids and inspect equipment before use
- Keep sites orderly and prepare for upcoming jobs
Requirements:
- Ability to teach and develop less experienced team members
- Experience with TELUS, Bell, Rogers, or Freedom systems
- Knowledge of OTDR, sweep testing, and fiber fusion
- Solid adherence to safety procedures
- Mechanical aptitude and strong communication skills
