Thales Canada Inc. is hiring a Mechanical Specialist for AJISS Engineering support. This hybrid position addresses marine and auxiliary systems aboard Arctic and Offshore Patrol Vessels and Joint Support Ships. The work includes service-provider coordination, technical oversight, and supportability assessments.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide technical advice for marine equipment operation and maintenance
- Coordinate defect investigations with service providers and ship personnel
- Manage providers conducting onboard work when required
- Assess alternate parts and obsolescence issues
- Promote effective practices for RAS equipment

Requirements:

- Minimum five years’ recent marine or offshore technical experience
- Red Seal Mechanical, Millwright, Power Engineering, or equivalent certification
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Fluency in English with robust communication skills
- Ability to obtain NATO Secret and Controlled Goods authorization
