BCIT’s School of Transportation seeks temporary Faculty for its Heavy Equipment Group. You will teach provincial curriculum across heavy duty equipment and commercial trucks. The work includes classroom delivery, practical demonstrations, assessment, and cooperative instruction with the heavy equipment team.

Key Responsibilities:

- Teach provincial heavy duty mechanics curriculum
- Prepare classroom lectures and assessment materials
- Present course content and practical demonstrations
- Provide short-term coverage for faculty release
- Teach disassembly,



inspection, overhaul, servicing, and reassembly

Requirements:

- Inter-Provincial Red Seal in Heavy Duty Mechanics
- BC Certificate of Apprenticeship in Heavy Duty Mechanics
- Minimum five years’ recent journeyperson industry experience
- Experience repairing and maintaining off-road equipment
- Ability to instruct tracks and undercarriage curriculum
