Huawei Canada’s CBG team seeks an Audio, Speech, and Acoustics Research Intern for its AI and Signal Processing Research team. You will work with senior researchers and engineers on algorithms involving acoustic signal processing, deep learning, and speech processing. The internship emphasizes research, implementation, evaluation, and technical communication.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and evaluate audio signal processing algorithms
- Prototype deep learning models for speech processing
- Build acoustic data pipelines and curate datasets
- Implement research concepts in Python and C++
- Document findings and support product-feature translation

Requirements:

- Pursuing a Master’s or Ph.D. degree
- Studying engineering, computer science, or quantitative fields
- Strong DSP and audio deep learning foundations
- Experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow
- Solid Python proficiency and analytical research skills
