Practice high-acuity internal medicine at Ridge Meadows Hospital in Maple Ridge, using general medicine expertise and subspecialty consultation skills.

RMH is recruiting physicians with subspecialty training and GIM ability, or GIM physicians with relevant subspecialty interests. Internists serve as most responsible physicians for the sickest patients while supporting hospitalists and other specialties. The role includes inpatient consultation, community follow-up, and teaching through the University of British Columbia.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide inpatient internal medicine care for high-acuity patients
- Deliver daytime consultation in week-long service blocks
- Participate in overnight call approximately one night in eight
- Support hospitalists and specialties with consultative expertise




- Teach residents, fellows, and fourth-year medical students

Requirements:

- CPSBC certification and FRCPC certification in Internal Medicine
- CMPA coverage and sufficient General Medicine clinical experience
- Proficiency in lumbar puncture, central lines, and chest tubes
- Ability to manage ventilated ICU patients with paramedical staff
- Clinical appointment application with the University of British Columbia
