Serve as a Paid On-Call Firefighter with The Township of Leeds and the Thousand Islands, meeting Class G licensing requirements. Live near one of four stations and respond when needed.

The Township recruits paid on-call firefighters on an ongoing basis. Recruits complete a minimum 12-month probation and must become NFPA 1001 certified within 36 months. The position requires annual training and emergency-call participation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Complete minimum 12-month probationary period
- Attend at least 60% of annual training
- Attend at least 25% of annual emergency calls
- Become NFPA 1001 certified within 36 months

Requirements:

- Ontario high school diploma or equivalent
- Age 18 or older
- Valid unrestricted Ontario Class G licence
- Obtain Class DZ licence within one year
- Satisfactory checks, abstract, medical certificate, and station proximity
