This position assists with technical dispensing functions, prescription preparation, and pharmacy operations. You will support customer service, prescription workflow, third-party adjudication, and administrative processes. The role follows Pharmacy Standards of Practice, Standard Operating Procedures, and confidentiality requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather prescription information according to required standards
- Accurately dispense, count, measure, package, and label medications
- Process third-party billing and adjudication when required
- Refer clinical inquiries and counseling needs to pharmacists
- Maintain dispensary cash registers and documentation
Requirements:
- Registration with the corresponding provincial licensing college
- Diploma from a Pharmacy Technician College
- Previous pharmacy experience preferred
