Build industrial software test automation using Go or Python, REST APIs, and industrial protocols in a hands-on engineering role based in Canada.
As an experienced QA Test Engineer, you will establish automated coverage for connectors and data integrations. You will develop frameworks, regression suites, and simulators while collaborating with distributed teams across Canada and the United States. Your testing will support reliability in real-time data environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build automated coverage for industrial connectors and protocols
- Develop REST API tests for GitLab pipeline execution
- Design device and protocol simulators for reliable testing
- Validate upgrades, compatibility, load, and long-duration stability
- Investigate failures using logs and document findings accurately
Requirements:
- Five or more years in software test automation
- Three or more years writing automated test code
- Experience with Go, Python, or similar programming languages
- Working knowledge of at least two industrial protocols
- Practical Linux, Docker, and continuous integration experience
