Our banking client is seeking an Intermediate to Senior Business Analyst to support payments modernization initiatives (Hybrid, Calgary/Edmonton AB)[2026-100].

Overview:

Supports payments initiatives, primarily the delivery of a real-time payments rail, with a smaller share of sustainment work on existing money movement. Works with architects, developers, designers and business stakeholders on a medium-sized team.

Contract, Calgary or Edmonton, Hybrid, Working Hours: MST

Must Haves

- 6+ years as a Business Analyst
- 2+ years of experience in channels and payments, including payment products
- 2+ years of experience in the payments industry with knowledge of clearing and settlement
- Experience with API, web services and application and system design
- Strong experience in requirements gathering, process mapping and data analysis
- University degree in Computer Science, Business, Management, Human Computer Interaction or a related discipline, or an acceptable combination of education, experience and training

Nice to Have

- Working knowledge of SAP and/or core banking systems
- Strong analytical, research and problem solving skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, a results driven self starter and enthusiastic team player who wants to be part of a team dedicated to growth and continuous improvement

Responsibilities

- Responsible for mapping current and future state payment processes
- Gather and document business and technical requirements
- Analyze data to support design and decision making
- Work with solution architects, developers and designers
- Support testing activities




- Engage business stakeholders across the program
- Participate in Scrum ceremonies, writing and mapping user stories
