Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Role overview

Lead procurement activities for materials and services supporting complex capital projects, with an emphasis on mining and tailings-related work. Partner with project, engineering, operations, and supplier teams to deliver procurement in line with project schedules, budgets, and requirements.

Key responsibilities

- Lead sourcing and procurement of materials and services for capital projects.
- Develop and manage RFx events, evaluate proposals, and prepare supplier award recommendations.
- Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and supply arrangements while managing risk.
- Manage the purchase order lifecycle, including requisition review, PO creation and changes, expediting, issue resolution, and closeout.
- Develop procurement strategies with project, engineering, and operational stakeholders.
- Monitor supplier performance and procurement KPIs; identify cost-reduction and continuous-improvement opportunities.





Requirements

- 5–7 years of relevant procurement, sourcing, supply chain, or combined commercial and technical experience.
- Experience leading sourcing execution and commercial negotiations, managing RFx processes, evaluating suppliers, and making award recommendations.
- Knowledge of procurement processes, purchase order lifecycle management, and supply risk mitigation.
- Solid commercial, financial, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work with cross-functional project, technical, operational, and supplier stakeholders.
- Must bring your own device for working capabilities.

Preferred qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.
- Capital-project procurement experience, particularly in mining, tailings, heavy industrial, or similar environments.
- Experience with SAP, SAP Ariba, SAP Fieldglass, MyTrack, or spend analytics tools.
