Administer Db2 z/OS platforms in Toronto for BMO, using SQL performance tuning to support secure, resilient enterprise banking applications.
As a Senior Database Administrator, you will support BMO’s Mainframe Platform & Application Services team. The position focuses on Db2 for z/OS administration, database design, performance optimization, and production change deployment. You will collaborate with developers, architects, engineers, and business partners across enterprise technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer, monitor, and support enterprise-scale Db2 z/OS environments
- Design secure, scalable, highly available database solutions
- Deploy database changes through established change management processes
- Tune SQL and troubleshoot complex database connectivity issues
- Develop security standards, governance practices, and operational procedures
Requirements:
- Seven or more years supporting Db2 for z/OS environments
- Experience with Db2 z/OS Version 12 or higher
- Solid SQL tuning, database design, and administration expertise
- Experience with z/OS, JCL, TSO/ISPF, and mainframe technologies
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
