Lead K–5 education at Southpointe Academy through IB PYP practice, faculty supervision, and student well-being leadership in South Delta.

This full time permanent Assistant Principal role supports the Junior School Principal across daily operations and strategic priorities. The position serves Southpointe Academy’s Kindergarten to Grade 5 programme within an International Baccalaureate Continuum School. You will guide teachers and support staff, contribute to instructional leadership, and strengthen student life, behaviour, safety, and experiential learning.

Key Responsibilities:

- Support Junior School leadership, strategic direction, and daily operations
- Supervise, evaluate, coach, and develop assigned faculty and staff
- Lead student life, co-curricular programming, and community events
- Support teaching, assessment,



reporting, and purposeful technology integration
- Manage behaviour, well-being, safety, and safeguarding responses

Requirements:

- Strong understanding of IB PYP teaching and learning
- Educational leadership experience in supervision, operations, and student well-being
- Significant successful elementary teaching experience
- Minimum two years of educational leadership experience
- Valid BC or Independent School teaching certification, or eligibility
