EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATOR – NOC 42202 Salary: $33.82-$45.00 per hour Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time Hours: 35–40 hours per week Vacancies: 2 Work Location: 4040 4th Avenue, Whitehorse, YT Y1A 1G9 Language of Work: English Key Responsibilities Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities for children. Maintain daily records, including observations, meals, and medications. Support children's daily routines, including eating, resting, toileting, and personal care. Engage children in reading, storytelling, art, music, crafts, and other developmentally appropriate activities. Monitor children's play and maintain a safe, healthy, and inclusive setting. Clean and sanitize toys, equipment, materials, and program areas. Provide personal care, including diapering, dressing, feeding, and bottle preparation as required. Assist with meal preparation and serving. Perform light housekeeping and general administrative duties related to the childcare program. Accompany and supervise children during outdoor play, walks, outings, and transitions. Communicate children's daily activities, progress, needs, and behaviours with families. Participate in staff meetings, training, scheduling,



and other team responsibilities. Support the inclusion and participation of children with exceptional or additional support needs. Follow applicable childcare licensing, health, safety, and workplace policies and procedures.
