Provide surgical first-assist support at Cypress Regional Hospital in Swift Current, with postoperative assessment across multiple specialties. Work under designated surgeon supervision.

The Saskatchewan Health Authority seeks a permanent, full time Clinical Assistant and Family Physician. Support Gynecology, Urology, General Surgery and additional services as required. The position strengthens surgical continuity, supports operating-room capacity and contributes to inpatient postoperative management. Clinical activities follow approved scope, supervision, credentialing and privileging requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide first-assist support during scheduled and emergency surgical procedures
- Support preoperative assessment, preparation and perioperative clinical communication
- Monitor postoperative patients, wounds, investigations and potential complications




- Participate in rounds, discharge planning, handover and multidisciplinary coordination
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and escalate concerns promptly

Requirements:

- Medical degree from a recognized medical school
- Eligibility for applicable Saskatchewan physician registration or licensure
- Clinical experience in surgical assistance and perioperative care
- Ability to recognize deterioration and seek appropriate supervision
- Strong documentation, communication, teamwork and organizational skills
