Job Description: Coverage would be Friday through Sunday, as needed, across all three shifts, particularly evenings and overnights. Shift differential benefits for evening, overnight, and weekend coverage

I. Position Summary:

Patrols assigned areas to ensure a safe and secure environment for residents and staff. Responds to emergency situations and requests for security assistance as needed. Provides support as needed for emergency situations involving medical staff. In addition, demonstrate a strong commitment to the philosophy and goals of the mission of Hebrew SeniorLife and recognize members’ dignity and choice in aspects of daily life. Work with team to meet all needs of the member and the assisted living facility by actively participating in activities, work and the social environment. Strive to make every encounter with a member into a positive and meaningful experience and opportunity, while providing safe and efficient quality of care.

III. Position Responsibilities:

- Responds to alarms and security emergencies.
- Responds to requests for security assistance, including but not limited to: vehicle assistance, door unlocks, escorts and alarms.
- Maintains patrols of the assigned area as prescribed in post orders.

The above covers the most significant responsibilities of the position. It does not, however, exclude other duties, which would be in conformity with the level of the position. Completes special projects as assigned.

IV Qualifications:

- Must be professional, proactive, collaborative, conscientious and results-oriented individual. Must have an optimistic and positive demeanor,



excellent oral and written communication skills, good intuition and able to adapt to changing priorities and display good, sound judgment with a sense of humor.
- Superb organizational skills. Must have solid analytical skills. Must be creative and proactive yet disciplined, discriminating and able to streamline work volume in order to maintain bottom line efforts in midst of multi-tasking and daily re-prioritizing. Must have ability to innovate, think strategically and conceptually, manage multiple projects simultaneously and handle even difficult situations.
- Must be motivated to learn and flexible to change.
- Computer literacy required; experience with databases, Windows, Word, Excel, and databases.
- First Responder certification required.
- EMT Certification preferred.
- Must possess a valid motor vehicle operator’s license.

V Physical Requirements

Must be able to lift, pull, and pushing 50 (fifty) pounds. Able to stand and/or sit for prolonged periods of time. Able to perform extensive walking patrols of the campus. Please refer to the Physical Requirements sheets in Occupational Health

Salary Range: $18.07 - $25.30
