Provide psychiatric nursing care in person at Shared Health’s Selkirk Mental Health Centre, supporting patients with complex, unpredictable needs.
As a Registered Psychiatric Nurse or Registered Nurse, you will deliver skilled nursing services within the Nursing Float Pool. The position includes independent care, prescribed treatments, healthcare team leadership, and patient-care coordination. Recent related mental health experience is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide professional registered nursing services to patients
- Administer prescribed medical treatments independently
- Lead within the healthcare team
- Coordinate patient care and discharge
- Prioritize care amid simultaneous demands
Requirements:
- Graduate of an approved psychiatric or registered nursing program
- Active CRPNM or CRNM registration and proof
- Recent related mental health experience preferred
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Current CPR training according to policy
