Support financial accounting and reporting in Alberta, Canada, with advanced Excel and general ledger expertise. Work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Mountain Time.
This contract Financial Analyst role requires five or more years of progressive financial or accounting experience. You will support financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, reconciliations, and close activities. The position serves a large, complex organization and requires strong financial accounting foundations beyond FP&A.;
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Process journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts
- Analyze financial statements, variances, cash flow, and net debt
- Support month-end, year-end, audit,
and regulatory reporting
- Maintain accurate grant, revenue, and restricted-fund reporting
Requirements:
- Five or more years of progressive financial accounting experience
- CPA designation or active CPA pursuit
- Robust financial accounting, reporting, and reconciliation experience
- Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency
- Ability to meet tight reporting deadlines independently
