Quality Assurance Technician – Stainless Steel Products

About the Role

PinAcle Stainless Steel Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Technician to support product inspections, customer quality requirements and our Quality Management System (QMS).

In this role, you will inspect stainless steel products, perform testing, maintain accurate quality records and help ensure products meet applicable standards and customer specifications. You will also support internal audits, nonconformity reporting and corrective actions.

Key Responsibilities

- Inspect products to verify compliance with applicable standards, specifications and customer requirements.
- Perform Positive Material Identification (PMI) testing, inspections for NSF-related orders and other specialized customer inspection requests.
- Use measuring and testing equipment to verify product dimensions, material composition and other quality requirements.
- Record inspection and testing results, and scan, organize and maintain supporting documentation.
- Identify, document and report product or process nonconformities, and assist with corrective actions and follow-up.
- Conduct internal QMS audits and document findings.
- Help maintain the integrity of the QMS when changes are planned and implemented.
- Liaise with customers, suppliers and other external parties on quality and QMS matters.
- Respond to customer inquiries by telephone and email in a qualified and courteous manner.
- Assist with receiving mill shipments and related inspections as required.
- Work with internal teams to complete inspections and resolve quality concerns within required timelines.




- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

- Knowledge of stainless steel pipe, valves, fittings, flanges and related products carried by PinAcle.
- Relevant experience in quality assurance, quality control or product inspection.
- Working knowledge of applicable ASME, ASTM, MSS SP, ANSI and IFI standards.
- Experience identifying and reporting nonconformities and supporting corrective actions.
- Familiarity with Quality Management Systems and internal auditing.
- Experience using product inspection and testing equipment, including:
- Micrometers and calipers
- Ring and plug gauges
- Ultrasonic testers
- Niton analyzers for PMI testing
- Comparators
- Good computer skills, including data entry, document scanning and electronic file management.

Job Types: Full time, Permanent

Pay: From $58,000.00 per year
