Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking General Labourer to join our team. This role supports the overall upkeep and presentation of the property, ensuring the grounds and common areas are clean, safe and well maintained for residents and visitors. With Cressey’s commitment to quality and resident experience top of mind, the General Labourer plays an important role in maintaining the exterior grounds and assisting and supporting the Maintenance Team with general property maintenance tasks to ensure the building operates smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform lawn cutting, trimming and edging to maintain clean and well-presented grounds.
- Complete leaf collection and seasonal exterior clean-up including debris removal. Carry out general garden maintenance such as weeding, watering and basic planting support.
- Assist the Maintenance Team with painting preparation and touch-ups as directed.
- Support cleaning tasks in common areas and exterior spaces as required.
- Assist with basic, non-technical maintenance tasks under the direction of the Building Manager or Maintenance staff.
- Help move appliances, materials and equipment as needed.




- Support minor fence repairs and exterior upkeep projects under supervision.
- Participate in garbage and recycling handling on designated collection days.
- Assist with snow removal and ice control during winter months when required.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working order and ensure proper storage after use.
- Follow all company Health and Safety policies and procedures.
- Perform other general labour duties as assigned by the Building Manager.

Skills and Qualifications

- Previous experience in general labour, landscaping, groundskeeping or property support is considered an asset
- Basic understanding of safe tool handling and general maintenance practices
- Ability to follow instructions and work under the direction of the Building Manager and Maintenance Team
- Physically capable of performing manual labour including lifting, bending, carrying and working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis
- Strong work ethic with a reliable and punctual attendance record
- Ability to work independently while also contributing positively to a team environment
- Valuable communication skills and a professional attitude when interacting with residents and team members
- Commitment to workplace health and safety standards

Pay: $23.00 per hour
