: Job Description : **: Under the direction of the Supervisor is responsible for assisting crews during general operation.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES :

- Assisting crews during general operation.
- Conducting clean-up duties.
- Restocks trucks.
- Assists with the installation of underground plant.

QUALIFICATIONS : Education/Experience :

- Enrolment in a post-secondary electrical discipline; or
- Secondary school education together with proven knowledge of basic electrical theory

Skills & Abilities :

- Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Must be highly motivated and work well in a team environment
- Must be able to work with mínimal supervision
- Superior customer service skills and ability to deal with the public in a courteous and tactful manner
- Must be able to communicate effectively with other Civic departments and suppliers
- Must possess and maintain a valid Class “G” Ontario Drivers Licence, or equivalent
- Must meet the definition of a competent driver as defined by the Corporation

Physical Demands :

- This position requires constant standing/walking; frequent squatting/kneeling, and lifting up to and including 20kg

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT :

- Must remain a competent driver as defined by the Corporation
- May be required to provide a successful driver’s abstract
- After training, must be able to operate a one ton truck, asphalt cutter and ditch whitch
