Position Summary : As a Production/Yard Worker will be responsible to ensure the fabrication of rebar is completed as per customer needs. This is a hands-on role that requires us to work in a team with our production cage machine team and operations as business needs. Other responsibilities include: Key Responsibilities :
- Operate and attend to manual and automated equipment
- Operate overhead cranes to move, load and offload materials.
- Maintain cleanliness of equipment and assigned work areas.
- Work effectively as part of a team.
- Complete Housekeeping duties as required.
- Provide quality and customer focused workmanship.
- Comply with all safety procedures including participating in safety meetings, inspections, maintenance logs, and fire drills.
What You’ll Need :
- Ability to work in a quick paced & stressful environment while maintaining a positive and calm demeanor.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 75 lbs.
- Overhead crane operator experience is an asset.
- Ability to operate a steel band saw and paint sprayer.
- CSA approved Steel Toed Work Boots.
- Ability and willingness to follow directions as well as the ability to work independently
- Good understanding of customer service for both internal and external customers
