R&D; Crane, a division of the Cherubini Group of Companies, is looking for a General Manager to join our team!

R&D; provides crane services and equipment to all industries including construction, commercial, marine, wind and residential. Our fleet of cranes ranges from a 30 ton boom truck to a 440 ton crawler. With years of experience erecting buildings and bridges, R&D;’s team of competent certified operators, engineers and managers treats every lift like its their own.

Summary

Accountable for the leadership and day-to-day operations of R&D; Crane, including safety, service delivery, customer experience, people leadership, and financial performance.

This role will be responsible for driving sales, networking, and business development while building a strong operating rhythm across the business.

Responsibilities

- Champion a safety-first culture and ensure compliance.
- Own sales and business development: build pipeline, price/quote work, negotiate terms, and close jobs aligned with fleet capabilities and maintain strong customer/partner relationships to strengthen the brand and generate demand
- Set and execute the annual business plan and translate goals into transparent operating priorities.
- Ensure job readiness: confirm scope, staffing, lift planning, site constraints, and equipment selection for safe, efficient execution.
- Lead and develop the team: set expectations, coach performance, and reinforce safety and customer service standards.




- Manage suppliers and third-party partners to ensure quality, compliance, responsiveness, and cost control.
- Lead fleet and capital planning and assess acquisition/partnership opportunities.
- Own budgeting and performance management with Group Finance; review financials, pipeline, utilization, KPIs, and safety/service metrics to drive improvement.

Requirements :

- Significant mobile crane industry experience.
- General management, operations, or sales experience.
- Strong knowledge of crane safety, lift planning, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills; sound judgment and problem-solving.
- Ability to lead, coach, and hold teams accountable; set transparent expectations and build a service-first culture.

Compensation : Total compensation may be a combination of base salary, commission, and a business performance-based bonus, and will be discussed during the interview process.
