When you volunteer at the Canadian Cancer Society you have real impact. It takes all of us to take on cancer. Volunteer with us at one of our signature events in your community on event day. You can choose a specific role and shift(s) based on availability. You can also assist us when we need event support on an on-call basis in your own community.

The Vancouver Daffodil Ball is happening this year on Saturday, May 30th at the Vancouver Convention Centre West.
As an On-site Support Team Member, you will provide flexible, responsive assistance throughout the Leadership Circle VIP Cocktail Reception. Your role helps ensure that everything runs smoothly by being available to the event lead and staff for any needs that arise, contributing to a seamless and welcoming experience for our VIP guests.
Why we need you General Event Support : Be available to the event lead for ad hoc tasks as needed throughout the reception
- Guest Assistance : Offer a warm, friendly presence and help guests with simple questions, directions, or connecting them with staff (no check-in responsibilities)
- Environment Readiness :Keep an eye on the space to ensure décor, signage, and event areas remain tidy, polished, and guest ready.
- Flow & Transitions : Support light movement of guests or help guide transitions when the reception shifts into the main event
- Back of House Support : Assist staff with small logístical tasks such as delivering messages, gathering items, or providing lastminute support
- Issue Spotting : Alert the event lead promptly to anything that needs attention

- High attention to detail and respect for guest confidentiality
