Madinatul Uloom Academy has been a private school operating in the heart of Scarborough, Ontario, since 1996. We are hiring a High School Teacher to teach Biology and Chemistry.

Job Summary

As a teacher, you have the opportunity to set the tone for learning for the rest of a student’s life. When students have a good, educational, and happy experience in elementary school, they are better prepared to take on the challenges of middle school, high school, and beyond.

Responsibilities :

- Create daily lesson plans that are engaging, educational, and exciting for students, encouraging them to attend school.
- Deliver lesson plans in a way that captures students' attention and keeps them engaged and excited about learning.
- Develop, issue, and grade educational content, including homework, tests, and assignments.
- Supervise classes to ensure all students are learning in a safe and productive environment.
- Deliver personalized instruction to each student by encouraging interactive learning.
- Prepare and distribute periodic progress reports and semester report cards.
- Attend parent-teacher meetings.
- Evaluate and document students’ progress.
- Reach school and course-wide performance goals for every student in the class.




- Watch closely for students who are struggling with emotional problems, learning disabilities or situations at home, and help them find the resources they need.
- Grade papers and homework regularly to keep students updated on how they are doing and to head off any problems before they become a habit.
- Increase your educational knowledge and stay up to date on new methods by joining skilled organizations, attending continuing education courses, and participating in regular training sessions for teachers.
- Offer praise and encouragement to students when they do well and when they are struggling, and teach them that they have the power to do well in school.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Skills & Requirements

- A minimum of 2 years' experience as a teacher is preferred.
- Well-organized with excellent leadership abilities.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills.
