Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our team at Taylight Brewing. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in meal preparation, ensuring that all food is prepared safely and efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of food quality.

Duties

- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards set.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and best practices.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of kitchen stations before and after service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Collaborate with other kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
- Participate in menu planning and contribute creative ideas for new dishes.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen equipment.
- Understanding of food safety practices,



including proper food handling and sanitation procedures.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- A passion for cooking and a desire to learn and grow within the culinary field.
- Valid Food Secure Level 1 or equivalent is required.
- Availability required: Wednesday and Weekends (Friday-Sunday).
