Support respite shelter residents at Fred Victor in Toronto through crisis intervention, client communication, and after-hours services. This permanent reduced full-time schedule includes 30 weekly hours. As a 24-Hour Services Respite Worker, you will support chronically homeless adults in a 24-Hour Respite Program. The work includes client-centred support, administrative documentation, wellness checks, referrals, and group facilitation. You will serve residents including people with pets or partners.

Key Responsibilities:

Process client intakes, discharges, phone calls, and statistical information

Record client notes, forms, and discharge plans accurately

Complete wellness, facility, perimeter, and washroom checks

Provide referrals, information, advocacy,



and daily resident support

Facilitate weekly support groups and respond to crises

Requirements:

Two years of shelter setting experience

Solid crisis intervention and conflict resolution skills

Strong written, oral, interpersonal, assessment, and facilitation skills

Knowledge of community resources and after-hours GTA services

Literacy in Word, Excel, Outlook, Windows, SMIS, and Datasphere

Use client-centred support, sound judgment, and clear communication while serving Toronto respite shelter residents at Fred Victor.
