Support underground diamond drilling as an Exploration Geologist focused on core logging, sampling, and drill statistics in Timmins, Ontario.
Lake Shore Gold is hiring for its Exploration Office on a 12-month contract. The position primarily supports underground diamond drill groups at Bell Creek and Timmins West. Work also includes regional exploration projects, drillhole layouts, and sectional interpretations. Monday-to-Friday hours total eight hours daily.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist underground diamond drill groups with exploration activities
- Log drill core from Bell Creek and Timmins West
- Support core work for regional exploration projects
- Enter daily drill statistics and maintain accurate records
- Assist with layouts and sectional zone interpretations
Requirements:
- One to three years working on diamond drill projects
- Experience assisting exploration or mine geologists
- Knowledge of core logging, sampling, and handling procedures
- PGO membership or Ontario PGO or GIT eligibility
- Microsoft Office experience and Canadian work eligibility
