Apply horticultural knowledge and machinery skills as a Gardener maintaining Eton College grounds across its 1,450 acres of land. Work Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm.
As an experienced Gardener, you will cultivate and maintain College gardens to exceptionally high standards. Working under the Gardens Supervisor and Grounds Manager, you will help deliver seasonal garden plans across outdoor spaces. The position requires horticultural maintenance, safety awareness, and care for colleagues, visitors, and students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate horticultural maintenance equipment and machinery safely
- Maintain College gardens and outside areas
- Help deliver seasonal garden plans
- Report hazards and defective equipment promptly
- Carry out directed horticultural projects
Requirements:
- Valuable general knowledge of horticulture
- Level 2 horticulture qualification or equivalent
- Valid NPTC PA1 and PA6 Spraying Certificate
- Valid UK manual driving licence
- Experience with automated mowing desirable
