Apply millwright expertise to production equipment, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance at Maple Leaf Foods. Rotating shifts and weekends may be required.
This Millwright role supports a 24-hour manufacturing operation for Maple Leaf Foods. You will install, troubleshoot, and repair complex equipment, identify mechanical and electrical problems, and recommend performance improvements. The work includes operating equipment, using drawings and instructions, and maintaining computerized maintenance records. Compliance with GMPs, HACCP, WHMIS, and health and safety requirements is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair complex production equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance procedures in a continuous operation
- Identify mechanical and electrical equipment problems
- Recommend and implement equipment performance improvements
- Operate equipment and check performance as required
Requirements:
- Manufacturing experience considered an asset
- Welding and plumbing experience considered an asset
- Full complement of personal and skilled hand tools
- Basic computer and strong communication skills
- Ability to work rotating shifts and weekends
