Maintain light vehicles at BW Gold’s Blackwater Mine using mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic diagnostic skills. Work permanently on a two-weeks-on, two-weeks-off rotation.
Reporting to the Supervisor – Maintenance, the LV Mechanic performs routine maintenance and repairs across the mining fleet. Equipment includes light trucks, Class 7/8 highway trucks, UTVs, and snowmobiles. The position supports reliable, high-performing vehicles and auxiliary equipment while applying BW Gold safety standards, procedures, and systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine light vehicle and auxiliary equipment maintenance
- Repair light trucks, highway trucks, UTVs, and snowmobiles
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic equipment issues
- Address and enforce BW Gold safety requirements
- Support Maintenance department reliability and performance efforts
Requirements:
- Automotive Technician Red Seal Certification
- High school diploma or equivalent completion
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to work two weeks on, two weeks off
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts and lift up to 50 pounds
