Build tool and die expertise at Magna as a 430A Apprentice, applying maintenance skills across office and manufacturing environments. Shift work is required.

Within Cosma International, this apprenticeship supports inspections, repairs, maintenance, and modifications under a qualified Tradesman’s guidance. You will evaluate downtime, improve process uptime and repeatability, and support Safety, Quality, and Productivity. The position is a new vacancy and requires adherence to Ministry of Skills and Development regulations and training requirements. Successful applicants will be registered as 430A apprentices.

Key Responsibilities:

- Inspect, maintain, repair, and modify machinery, equipment, processes, and facilities
- Evaluate downtime root causes and implement improvements with Maintenance Technicians




- Perform preventative maintenance and improve equipment design weaknesses
- Capture and exchange key information during shift changes
- Maintain clean, orderly work areas and job sites

Requirements:

- Grade 12 high school diploma or equivalent
- Completed Level 2 Tool and Die Maker or Mold Maker program
- Qualified college program completion from a reputable institution
- Ability to work shifts and adaptable overtime hours
- Ability to work inside and outside plant locations

Develop 430A trade capabilities through supervised machinery maintenance, downtime improvement, and process-focused apprenticeship training at Magna.
