Apply MEL expertise with Sunwest Aviation Ltd. in Calgary, maintaining approved aircraft documentation for a diverse charter fleet. This is a part time position.
Reporting to the Director of Flight Operations, the MEL Specialist ensures current Transport Canada-approved MELs across Sunwest Aviation’s fleet. The work supports jets, turboprops, and piston aircraft through controlled documentation updates. Candidates should bring commercial piloting experience, organization, and Microsoft Word knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create MELs for new aircraft types entering the fleet
- Amend MELs after aircraft additions and modifications
- Update MELs when regulations require changes
- Review Transport Canada revisions, supplements, and addendums
- Maintain electronic and hard-copy Weight and Balance documentation
Requirements:
- High School Diploma
- Five or more years as a commercial pilot
- Previous aircraft maintenance experience considered an asset
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Word
- Good organizational skills
