Support client health and wellness in Elkhorn as a Therapeutic Recreation Worker with Prairie Mountain Health. Plan activities and assess client needs.
Working at Elkwood Manor within the Activities department, you will provide recreation programs for physical and mental wellness. This 0.70 FTE position includes days and evenings, with 7.75 hour shifts. You will work independently and collaboratively with clients, families, and interdisciplinary team members. Responsibilities include individualized planning, documentation, care conferences, and creative programming for individuals and groups.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and implement client recreation programs
- Complete assessments and develop individualized activity plans
- Document results, progress, statistics, and required records
- Communicate client progress with interdisciplinary team members
- Follow restrictions while adapting activities, spaces, and supplies
Requirements:
- Grade 12 education meeting Manitoba standards
- Recognized therapeutic recreation or activity programming certificate
- Two years recent relevant health care experience
- Experience supporting elderly or disabled clients
- Class 5 Manitoba licence and Microsoft proficiency
