Lead secure, reliable software engineering at Toronto Pearson with expertise in cloud platforms, CI/CD, and up-to-date application development. This role offers flexible hybrid work. Reporting to the Director, Technology Delivery, the Associate Director will establish a sustainable engineering capability for GTAA digital products. You will translate enterprise priorities into build, buy, and integration decisions while strengthening engineering standards and organizational capability. Collaboration spans Product Management, Architecture, Cybersecurity, Operations, and Data teams. Key Responsibilities:

Execute the software engineering strategy and enterprise capability roadmap Set standards for secure, accessible, maintainable application development Evaluate build, buy,



and reuse options using business value Coach engineering leaders and develop high-performing teams Oversee software lifecycle performance, budgets, suppliers, and investments Requirements:

10+ years of progressive software engineering and delivery experience 5+ years leading engineering teams or managers Expertise in architecture, APIs, integration, cloud, and CI/CD Experience with automated testing, infrastructure as code, and observability Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related degree Shape GTAA engineering strategy through secure development, technical leadership, lifecycle stewardship, and business-focused technology decisions.
