Support respite shelter residents at Fred Victor in Toronto through crisis intervention, client communication, and after-hours services. This permanent reduced full-time schedule includes 30 weekly hours.

As a 24-Hour Services Respite Worker, you will support chronically homeless adults in a 24-Hour Respite Program. The work includes client-centred support, administrative documentation, wellness checks, referrals, and group facilitation. You will serve residents including people with pets or partners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process client intakes, discharges, phone calls, and statistical information
• Record client notes, forms, and discharge plans accurately
• Complete wellness, facility, perimeter, and washroom checks
• Provide referrals, information, advocacy,

• Facilitate weekly support groups and respond to crises

Requirements:

• Two years of shelter setting experience
• Strong crisis intervention and conflict resolution skills
• Strong written, oral, interpersonal, assessment, and facilitation skills
• Knowledge of community resources and after-hours GTA services
• Literacy in Word, Excel, Outlook, Windows, SMIS, and Datasphere
