Keep designated building areas clean as a Medium Duty Cleaner, using vacuuming, mopping, and spot-cleaning skills during the 8AM to 4PM shift.
This Porter position covers general custodial requirements and related assigned duties. You will clean common areas, washroom fixtures, floors, carpets, and waste receptacles. The work also includes restocking dispensers, checking equipment periodically, and following health and safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general custodial duties in designated building areas
- Vacuum carpets and complete spot-cleaning assignments
- Sweep and mop floors and common areas
- Restock soap, towels, tissue, and sanitary napkin dispensers
- Complete periodic equipment checks and assigned related duties
Requirements:
- Previous cleaning experience is an asset
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Use cleaning equipment, including an I-mop and vacuum
- Remain reliable, motivated, enthusiastic, and willing to assist
- Be physically able to carry out position duties
