Work on spatial intelligence at Peripheral, translating research in diffusion models and world models into practical 3D understanding. The internship is based in Toronto and requires in-office work.
Peripheral’s Reconstruction team is seeking a research-focused intern to study how raw multi-sensor capture becomes rich 3D understanding. You’ll pursue a defined project involving feed-forward reconstruction, neural rendering, generative models for spatial data, or world models. The work includes implementing new methods, testing your ideas, and assessing whether results hold up.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a defined project in spatial reconstruction research
- Turn papers and ideas into working model implementations
- Study captured-data characteristics and method limitations
- Create rigorous experiment and evaluation workflows
- Explain findings clearly to researchers and engineers
Requirements:
- Current Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD enrollment
- Publication record in recognized peer-reviewed research venues
- Experience with diffusion, world models, or reconstruction
- Ability to train models from scratch using Python
- Solid communication and clear tradeoff analysis
Bring publication-backed research experience and practical implementation skills to Peripheral’s next generation of spatial intelligence systems.
