Kingsland Terrace needs a Recreation Therapy Aide to deliver therapeutic activities and document resident participation. Work temporarily full time in Calgary with Intercare.
This position supports Intercare’s continuing care residents through planned recreation therapy programs and person-centered service. You will prepare activities, maintain records, communicate resident requests, and report changes to the Recreation Therapist. The work also includes collaboration with families, staff, and interdisciplinary care teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and implement planned therapeutic activity programs
- Record planned programs and resident attendance
- Report participation changes and resident requests
- Support recreation service evaluation and team projects
- Follow department, facility, and corporation procedures
Requirements:
- Two years’ experience in continuing care recreation therapy
- Recognized Recreation Therapy Aide program certification preferred
- Ability to function effectively with teams and families
- Mental and physical ability to perform outlined duties
- Emergency first aid and Food Protected requirements
